Apr 13th: Paul Haig at The Voodoo Rooms

Edinburgh's Voodoo Rooms were sold out and there was a real sense of anticipation in the air as Paul Haig took to the stage for his first gig in twenty years.

It was a tight flawless set of eleven songs with no encores. Old Haig favourites like Sorry For Laughing and Justice were mixed with a sprinkling of songs from the new album, Go Out Tonight, and the odd track from Chain and Electronik Audience. From the new stuff, Trouble Maker, Stay Mine, and the forthcoming single, Hippy Dippy, Pharmaceutically Trippy, were the stand outs.

All in all it was good to see Paul Haig back on stage, behind the mike, on top form, here in his home town. Viva Edinburgh.
